Citizen Participation Plan
Overview
The Citizen Participation Plan is an Element of the City’s 2030 Comprehensive Plan that is currently being developed. The purpose of this plan is to improve education, communication and participation between the citizens of Georgetown and the City Government. City Staff has been working with a citizen advisory group and will have a completed plan by the end of January. Information on the development of the document, draft language, advisory group meetings or other public meetings will be updated on this website from time to time.
Plan Mission Statement
The Citizen Participation Plan seeks to establish and coordinate procedures for the City to: effectively and efficiently communicate relevant information and it’s effects to the public, proactively and reactively solicit feedback, improve community outreach, and provide opportunities for public participation in the City’s decision-making process.
